The materials for these products are carefully sourced and chosen. Both the veneer and the paper -materials come from suppliers who are certified to be environmentally aware and use our forests responsibly and with a long-term perspective.

Quality, durable, long lasting Melamine Placemats and Coasters

Melamine is an organic compound and used to make our products durable. It is also the melamine that makes them water-resistant.

It is one of the toughest decorative surfaces on the market. The same surface material as used on kitchen worktop surfaces.

Our Melamine is on a 4.8 mm eucalyptus wooden board with a domed sealed edge, and a cork or felt backing. The surface is cured under high pressure in a heated press to withstand temperatures of 150C degree.

The design is protected by a laminated melamine-based surface making it heat resistant up to 150 degrees Celsius. All the materials are assembled by hand and then moulded into the desired shape with high heat and pressure. This craft requires both accuracy and precision by our skilled team of workers.

The manufacturing method combined with the characteristics of the different materials, provides a very durable, environmentally friendly product.

We recommend just wiping the placemats and coasters with a damp cloth. Please do not place them in the dishwasher or use them as a cutting board.

For normal use in a home setting, the products will last a lifetime.
